Welcome to Signal Lost!

I developed this website as a comprehensive guide to the world, story, and characters of Signal Lost; a project I have been developing over the course of the past two years! Its development in all areas is still ongoing, so everything written currently is subject to change, and some pieces might even be missing. That being said, I often get a lot of questions about what’s going on, so I figured I’d make answers easier to find ( and save myself some sanity, lol ). Thank you for being interested in my project! Major Settlements

Shang Cheng // 上城

".. it's betting money on an impaired concrete base."

Perhaps the most well recognized place on Mars, Shangcheng is an open settlement, and the first city formally built on the planet too. In its prime, the city was a major historical site, serving as an essential research point, and means for mass human occupation. The city was officially constructed by The First Martyn Republic of China in the span of four years, though expansion continued for many more years after the fact. In the long run however, it has struggled to sustain ever since. Decades following its creation, the city was never meant to be inhabited for this long, and in recent years it's come to reveal its struggling state. Foundations grow increasingly unstable, and it's evident that the place was a rush-project simply to give humanity a place of residence to start from, yet it's still immensely inhabited today. With an expansive population of over (POPULATION NUMBER), as positive a reputation as it has, the legs of the city are beginning to bend and crack.
